Natasha's contributions

Here are my contributions to the game

Firstly we have the sky background which was created in photoshop and then three different
separate clouds to be used as different layers on top of the background.

Darren Rigged the model.

The island was designed, modelled, uved, and textured by me. It uses planes for the leafs.

And finally I set up the bedroom level in unity

And here's the final render of the moose animation cycle:

Moowl - Model and animation for a game in Unity from Josh Alan Bradbury on Vimeo.

Josh's progress.

I have just completed implementing two puzzles into the game.

The original concept for the moose/owl moving platforms with tweaks now that it is in the actual game:

...and the other is a physics based puzzle involving a seesaw, hay-bales and a tractor tyre:

I think they are pretty fun and add a lot of depth to the game... I just hope they don't break in unintended ways as they are held together by rubber bands and magic at the moment.

Final Textured Plain Level Assets

Here are my final rendered images of all the Plain level assets that I worked on. Textured and ready for the game.

bird and corn

I Had trouble with the settings in unity setting up my bird as a package and as such it didnt make the final game. I originally had the bird a brown colour but decided on a toucan because who dreams of brown birds? Plus a toucan seems more whimsical to me. I wanted the bird to be cute and friendly because i found that the game lacked a bit of that in a way, so to do this i animated him sort of looking at the audience as he flies and textured a big smile on his face.

The corn i had issues modelling and im not overly happy with it as it doesn't look that great and i rushed it a bit. I exported the package fine in unity but the animation wouldnt loop as a cycle and i couldn't figure it out. I used a look of photos and textures of real corn plants when making the texture.

dave's assits

just to recap my contributions to the game are... Blinky the angler fish, sea mines, a barn, bird, and 3d corn model, plus texturing for some bedroom elements, however Matt had some re-done by other people.

I enjoyed texturing the bedroom things and went for a basic wooden look as i figured Xavier's room would be duller then his dreams so overly bright furniture might be a bit to strong a look. I enjoyed doing the books as i found them to be a bit of an Easter egg in the game showing a lot of things feature in the game. Im happy with how my barn looks for the fields level, i wanted to make a rustic old fashion looking barn and referenced a lot of armish and American style barns when modelling and making a texture. Im happy with how it looks and its location in the end product.
